THIRD GENERATION

5. John DEESON was born about 1804 in Nova Scotia. Based on age at time of petition for grant (21) in 1825. He emigrated about 1825 from Guysborough, Nova Scotia. He immigrated about 1825 to North Shore of Boularderie, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He appeared on the census between 1838 and 1841 in Location # 58 (Sydney Mines). A miner with two males and one female over 14 with him in the household.

He was married to Joanna WALSH. Based on Baptismal Records of children Joanna WALSH died. John DEESON and Joanna WALSH had the following children:

17 ii. Joseph John DEESON was born in Mar 1855 in Northside, Cape Breton.
18 iii. George Alphonsus DEESON was born before 5 Jan 1860 in Northside, Cape Breton.
19 iv. Genevieve Margaret DEESON was born on 9 Mar 1861 in Northside, Cape Breton. She was baptised on 17 Mar 1861 in Northside, Cape Breton. mother's name is recorded as Elizabeth Walsh
