FIRST GENERATION

1. William DESSON served in the military before 1784 in America. Arrived in Guysborough as a member of the Associated Departments of the Army and Navy. He was granted land NE Div Block F No. 3, plus 30 acres front and 70 back in 1784 in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia.
