She was married to James BOWIE on 28 Nov 1789 in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. According to Guysborough Sketches, marriage date was28 Nov 1788. James BOWIE was born in 1751. Based on age at death He was granted land NE section Block F No. 12, plus 30 acres front and 70 back in 1784 in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. Member of the Associated Departments of the Army and Navy He was a Blacksmith on 1 Jul 1792. He died on 2 Mar 1836 in Guysborough, Nova Scotia. At age 85; Jost says 04 Mar 1836 Margaret DESSON and James BOWIE had the following children:

12 i. William BOWIE was born on 28 Mar 1790. He died in 1811. of drowning

+15 iv. George BOWIE.
