I was wondering if any one can help me out here. I had a cousin (Jeannette ARNOLD) who lived in West Clarksfield, she died in 1935 as the results of a train accident in New london. She had a son named William Edward BUDBILL, who is listed in her will at 12 years of age, as a "son by former marriage", now living in the Children's Home in Norwalk, Ohio. I can find no trace of him any where, no idea where he was born. Any ideas where to go from here? I can't find him in any social security searches, maybe he is still living?
Raymond Tompkins Lookup-- There is a William Edward ARNOLD, born 23 April 1923, Pickaway County, Ohio. He died on 21 May 1994. The only BUDBILL's I found in the 1930 Census all lived in Cleveland.
The Stanley & Vernie POST children were place in a foster children's home around 1918-20 in or near Norwalk, any ideas on who would have the records? Children were Frank, Frederick, Allen, Jennie R. Baby named Le Roy was not included.
I am seeking connections to my great-uncle, Burr Walter HARGUS, born 1901 in Ellis Co, Tx and died 1974 in Norwalk, Huron Co, Ohio. He was oldest child of my g-grandparents, James Walter and Lennis TURNS HARGUS. They had 6 children, all born in Ellis Co, Tx. The family moved to Houston, Harris Co, Tx after 1920. My g-grandparents divorced, and one son, Roy was killed in 1924. The family split up. From my g-grandmother's obit, Burr lived in Norwalk, Ohio. I have found some info on him in a cemetery book from that area, and possible children, but would like to find out more. My grandfather was Burr's brother, and he would not talk much about his family to my dad or uncles.

Looking for a death certificate for Wm's wife, Mary Ellen Paden SMITH FRANCIS. She died in 1907 in Norwalk, OH. Also need one for her son's wife, Eva CONSIDINE SMITH, married to Charles SMITH of Norwalk, OH. She died about 1900 to 1905 from childbirth complications.
We were recently at the court house to research some birth certificates. In looking on their computer database, I was looking for my grandmother, Edith Pearl DILLON, b 8/25/1880 in Chicago Jct. Her parents were George Marshall DILLON and Jane S. OGIER DILLON. I did not find her, but did find a Jane DILLON, b 8/18/1880 to George and Jane. Edith is my grandmother, and my mother was sure of her birth date. I'm wondering who Jane is, and what happened to Edith?
Jessie Deith Look Up Results - I found your great grandparents in the 1880 census. It was taken about a month before your grandmother was born so she is not on it. But it does list Thomas E. and George B. as other children of George DILLON. The wife's name is heard to read. It looked like Janie. I imagine it might have been a pet name for Jane. They are on the third page of Chicago Juction - New Haven, Huron County, Ohio 1880 Census. The 1890 census was mostly destroyed by fire. The next one doesn't list her but she could be married at that time.
I am researching the SCHISCHKA/SCHISKA surname (mainly around New Washington and to the north; some in Monroeville), and the PAULE family (mainly Norwalk and Monroeville). One of the benefits of researching such unusual surnames is that if you have any information on one, they must be a relative. If anyone has any data on these families - or happens to run across some - I would appreciate anything you find.
If you are researching MOSIER or MOSER in or near Bellevue Ohio or Cleveland Ohio, 1851 to date, I may be able to help you. There was a change in the spelling of the name in 1851.
I am looking for a family member- George Washington BUNKER, b. 4-7-1840, d. 1-28-1914 in Lakeview, Michigan, buried Monroeville, Ohio. Not sure what cemetery that would be.
I have known for some time that my GG Grandfather lived in Norwalk back in 1829, but never knew of his family - until now! I found what I believe is his family in the Passenger Arrivals at the Port of New York 1820-1829: HERMAN, Francois J. 43, Madalein 36, Francois 12 (my GG Grandfather), George 10, Madalein 8 (married Peter STANG ), Philippe 6 1/2, Marianne 4, and Carl 1/12. All were born in France and arrived in New York August 3, 1829. My GG Grandfather got his citizen papers in Norwalk in 1840 and had a daughter born in 1842, so I am assuming he married in Norwalk. About 1831, he had another daughter, Catherine, who married Joseph VOGT; and a son Lewis. I believe his real name was Aloysius. I am wondering if these names mean anything to any one or has any one ever came across any of them?
Looking for anyone with the name MOSER or MOSIER in their line. The first of my MOSIER / MOSER line arrived in Huron Co. Ohio in 1851. The 1860 Huron Co. census list them as German. (They spoke German but they were from Switzerland.) I have the birth records from Switzerland on my Swiss MOSER / MOSIER family going back as far as the 1600s.
can someone please give me the plot and row numbers for my ancestor Matthias FRITZ? He died 16 Apr 1924 and was buried 21 Apr 1924 in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Monroeville, OH.

RE: Migration out of Upstate NY 1820 There was a terrible economic depression in the 1820s in Upstate NY. Also, after the Erie Canal opened, many people boarded flatboats and headed with their possessions to Ohio where they then joined wagon trains into Indiana and Illinois. My family landed in Ohio and then bought a team of oxen that they drove to Chicago, camping in the immigrant camp on the bank of the Chicago River while my g3gf trekked to what is now the northwestern suburbs of the city to homestead in 1837 and found towns there. Others in the family went into Ohio (Clarksfield) and stayed a few years, then moved on westward. Some of the children married in Ohio and stayed. They were CARLEYs, BARNUMs, VAN HOUTONs, CADYs. Do you have any hanging in your tree?
