Seeking descendants of CHANDLER Norment Elam (1790-1862) and Tabitha Catherine
HARRIS (1795-1860). My great-great grandmother, SARAH Emily Elam (1822-1891)
was one of their eleven children. Am interested in descendants of her ten
brothers and sisters who were named IRENE, JAMES, RUEBEN, JOEL, THOMAS,
MARTHA, WILLIAM, RICHARD, HILLIO and TYREE. Also would like to correspond
with anyone doing Elam research who is a descendant of one of the nine
children of Sarah Emily Elam and William Russel LOONEY (1819-1882). Any
info would be most appreciated. Thanks.
DANIEL Elam, Sr. married Virlinche WOOLDRIDGE (c.1750-1834). Their children
were DANIEL, WILLIAM, ROBERT, THOMAS, PEGGY, and VIRLINCHE. I want to find
out the siblings and parents, etc. of Daniel Elam Sr. of Chesterfield County,
VA.
I am researching the family of ALFRED Martin Elam, my g-g-great grandfather.
He was born 12-9-1816 in Cambell Co. Va. Family tradition has it that his
mother's name was Linda BASSETT but I have no documentation of that Alfred
lived in Sioux City, IA and raised his family there, later moving to Cherokee
Co. KS. He and his wife Catherine BLACK Elam are buried in Asbury, MO.
If any of this sounds familiar, contact me; I have all nine of their children's
names and birth dates.
My great-grandmother, LOUISE (LULU) Elam married Charles Edward BROWN,
March, 1866 in Americus, Georgia. Her family came from Virginia. I have
not been able to find any info. on any Elams in Ga. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
I am seeking information on my birth mother: JANET Diane Elam. I was born
in Santa Clara Memorial Hospital 9-12-73; my father was David Mitcheal
BANKS. If you can help, please contact me.
I am seeking information on the parents of ARRENA Victoria Elam born in
Searcy Co., Arkansas in 1860. She married ? HIGNIGHT (HIGNITE) and had
a son Henry or John Henry Hignight (Hignite). She later married Lewis (Louis)
Marion HENDERSON and had more children of which I have the names and birthdates.
I have access to pictures of Arrena (Rena) and her family and some letters
and notes written by her. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
I have been looking for almost a year and am up against a brick wall. Thank
you.
Looking for information on JEREMIAH Elam that married Jane DONAHO in Virginia.

This item posted by Don Matson on Sunday,
August 30, 1998 includes these names: BOLLING,
BOWMAN, BRAGG,
ELIZABETH, GILBERT,
JOHN, MARTIN,
MILLS, ROBERT,
ROBERTSON, TANNER
In our ROBERTSON lineage, we have hearsay that we are descended from the
Elams, but we cannot prove or disprove it. Does anyone know??? Help!
JOHN or MARTIN Elam, wife Elizabeth BOLLING, had dau. ELIZABETH Elam,
wife of John BOWMAN, had dau. Elizabeth Bowman, 1st marr. Jeffrey Robertson
who d. 1734 Henrico Co.,Va., then she marr. ca. 1735 to Hugh BRAGG. She
& Jeffrey had a son Jeffrey Robertson b. 1709 d. 1784 whose 1st wife
was Elizabeth Elam, dau. of GILBERT or ROBERT Elam & wife Elizabeth
Bolling. Think Jeffrey & Elizabeth were divorced. as he remarr. my
ancestor Judith (TANNER) MILLS.
I am searching for information on MARTHA Elam. She married Richard Alexander
CRAIG and their daughter was Louisa Jane Craig. Martha and Richard supposedly
lived in Mississippi before moving to Clark County, IL and then Texas in
1852. Their daughter was born in Mississippi on September 13, 1845, although
a cousin now believes she may have been born in IL. I would greatly appreciate
any info on Martha Elam Craig or her parents. Thank you very much.
Elvira MCCULLOUGH, born in Virginia 16 Oct 1816, was a daughter of JAMES
E. Elam. In 1840 James E. Elam was living in Cherokee County, Alabama.
ELVIRA Elam married Samuel H. McCullough in Cherokee County. Could this
James E. Elam be the James Easter Elam that was born to JOEL Elam and Mary
Ann EASTER? The dates are about right. Does anyone have any information
about James Easter Elam and family?
