I am trying to find any connection of NANCIE Elam born on 8 Jan 1828 in Russell, Virginia and was married to a John M BURNETT in 1845. Nancy died in Nov 1903 from what I have. They had 11 children most of them listed as born in Lynn Camp, Laurel, Kentucky. John and Nancy came from Virginia. Any information would be appreciated.

My Father name is DELMAR Lee Elam, his dad was ERWIN Elam, His mother was FRANCES Patrick Elam, they were all born or raised in and around Bath Co. Ky. I don't have a lot of info beyond grandparents but if anyone knowing somentih pertaining to this set of Elam's I would surely appreciate all the help I can get! Also there was a reference to an ALMA Elam and a CHESTER Elam as well . I think they may be related but not sure!!!!!!!

Howdy cousins!! Does anyone know if they are related to me? I thought I only had 3 living Elam relatives. My maiden name was Susan Lee Elam and I was born March 8, 1966. My father is ROBERT Lee Elam, born Jan 1935, my sisters are Mary Patricia Elam born Sept 24 1964 and Theresia Kathryn Elam born June 22, 1975. My father's father was WALTER Elam. We have always lived near St. Louis, MO, in Ferguson and Florissant MO. I am not sure where the generation before my grandfather lived. Maybe Virginia? I believe the family has English, French, German, and Cherokee heritage. This is all the information I have on my Elam lineage for now. It would be nice to find out if we actually have more relatives that we don't know about. My grandmother Dorothy Elam, nee FARMER, my father's mother, has an extensive geneology that her cousin collected but I don't know anything about the Elams.

My father's Mother was MARY Bernetta Elam m. Jeremiah ANDERSON. Her father was CHARLES S. Elam m. Sarah KEETON. Charles father was RICHARD Elam m Sarah ? All in Wayne Co. Ky. I am trying to find out who is the father of Richard b. ca 1810. He is in the 1840 census but his children are in other homes in the 1850 census.
