Now that we are gearing up for Y9 and high school, I have been paying more attention to creating a transcript and assessing grades.  I want to make sure that I have covered the basics and provided a transcript that most colleges will accept.  If you need help with credit hours and the basics of a transcript, see this file first:  HEO Credit Hours

Another really good article is this one published by The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.  Eclectic Homeschool Online has a page that tells you how to create a transcript.  They also have a sample here and one that you can fill out in your browser and print.

If you would like to use a software program other than Word or Excel, consider:  EdPlus or Transcripts Made EasyHomeSchool Tracker Plus also provides grades and a finished transcript.

Here are a few transcripts I like.  Feel free to download the samples linked below:

Donna Young has the best selection of transcript forms and other record keeping materials on the web.  And they are FREE!

Our Narrative Transcript

I have decided to keep a Narrative Transcript for my son's high school program.
