Weekly Schedule
This is our second attempt at getting organized. I
read with interest about how Anne W. and Wendi C. (Ambleside
Advisory) organized a binder and instead of being tied to daily
assignments and time blocks, they were following a more loosely
structured schedule. I was hoping that this method would free me
from the daily work of assigning reading selections and we could
simply check each reading off a master list as we completed it.
These forms were created to follow this method. To see a
description of my Binder, click here.

Weekly Schedule for AO Year 6

Spring Update (Year 6)
As we begin Term 3 and head into our last 12-weeks
of school work, I have made some modifications to our schedule. I
decided to simplify the method above and rather than stick to a
pre-determined block of time (say for Math), just list what
subjects and readings needed to be done each day. I also set our
week to 4 days, leaving Friday's for Art/Music, Special Studies,
and of course, housecleaning! We have been using these forms for 3
weeks and so far I think I like them the best. One caveat: After a
year of using AO, my son likes to do the subjects in his own
order. He also has begged me to create a check-off list for him to
use each day. He feels that it helps keep him on track and
focused. I had hoped that I could reduce some of my workload by
not having to create daily check lists, but he is very adamant
about it and feels that without them, he drifts and doesn't stay
focused. LOL :o)
This new system uses the Year at a Glance files
located in the AO Groups Files section. These helpful AO Year 1-6,
12-week/3-Term schedules were created by Korynn Philpot. Please
