                              Will of Mary Lockhart
 

In the name of God Amen, I Mary Lockhart of the town of Roseau in the island of Dominica being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner following. Imprimis, I recommend my soul to my redeemer in hope of joyful resurrection. 

 I will and desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my executor and executrix hereinafter named. 

 Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my son James David Boyd all my wearing apparel, my ?? bedstead, and bed linen, my ? press, my tables cupboard, sofa, plates, dishes, cups, chairs, glasses and all and every the different articles which is hath pleased Almighty God to bestow on me, and which I may be possessed of at the time of my death, as also my wooden tenement in Kings Lane and in which I do presently reside as also the sum of one hundred dollars which I have deposited in the hands of ? Alexander Dalrymple for his own use and benefit forever -subject nevertheless to the control of my executor and executress until such time that he the said James David Boyd shall attain the age of eighteen years, at which time, I trust he shall be able to conduct himself in a manner becoming.

 I give and bequeath to my son James David Boyd a gold ring with his father's hair inlaid, which I trust he may ever keep in remembrance of him. 

 It is my will and desire that my son James David Boyd after my death should reside with my executrix Miss Elizabeth Gannon, in whom I repose ? that confidence, that she will see him religiously brought up and educated as far as the little funds which I have left him may extend, and be further overlooked by my other executor and executrix leaving it exclusively with my executor and executrix to manage the little which I have left for his maintenance and education. 

 And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint James Garraway Esquire to be my executor and Miss Elizabeth Gannon and Mrs Elizabeth Jolly to be my executrix to the will hereby revoking all former and other wills by me heretofore made.
