JOHN R. BOYD, farmer. Sec. 2; P.O. Lyons.  He was born Jan 02,1817, in Allegheny Co;  Pennsylvania.  In 1837, he came to Clinton County. He owns 258 acres of land;  has been Justice of the Peace,  Township Trustee,  School Director,  President of the School Board, etc.  Married Lucy S. Boynton in 1843; she was born in Vermont;  they have four children - William T., James C., Nettie J. and Clara C. They lost three children in infancy; Robert A. died in 1876, at aged 24 years.
