PETTCOCK in 1846.  She was born in Virginia in Dec. 1826.  They have five children - Parker, Eli, Francis E., James and Lucinda. Members of the M. E. Church; Republican.  Has held the offices of Township Trustee, School Director; member of A., F. & A. M. Lodge, No. 59, Newton; also Sons of Temperance.  Officiates as local preacher in their church.  Formerly dealt quite extensively in stock feeding and selling.
