I am searching
for descendants of Stevenson and Margaret Boyd , originally
of Bushmills area, County
Antrim , Northern Ireland , who moved to Stoney
Meadow, Ayrshire in Scotland.
Stevenson , the father , had died previously
from a fall from a cart on
the way home from a cattle sale. The family split up,
the sons emigrating to the
US and Canada , with the mother Margaret and all the
daughters going to New Zealand
in two different sailing ships. Over the years
contact has been retained
with the families of the sons in the USA and New
Zealand , but I would love
to make contact with others of the original family .
Following is the data from various sources regarding our branch of the Boyd tree.
As far as we have, it will
be accurate , but no doubt changes will be necessary to
some degree.
The parents and children of Stevenson and Margaret Dean Boyd as follows;

Most of the marriage lines
have been followed up, especially those in the US and NZ.
Having only recently come
on line, I have not been able to make contact with any of the
family who remain in Scotland.
During the mid-1950's an american aunt visited there and
photographed a number of people,
they still remain just photographs. There is some con-
troversy about Stean Boyd
, the US people have never heard of him , but he did stay with
my grandparents for some time,
and worked in Gore as a miller. So he did exist.
