Thomas Lankford, planter, made promissary note or obligation bearing date of 5th day of November 1802 to Zachariah Cantey in the sum of $341.22 with lawful interest, with payment due in two months. Obligation payment secured by Thomas Lankford delivering to Zachariah Cantey one Negro Girl named Hannah about Sixteen years of age together with her increase. If payment was in default Zachariah Cantey could sell Hannah and her increase and the overplus, above $341.22 with interest thereon, to be returned to Thomas Lankford. Witnesses: Malcom McCullum and Thomas Brown. Thomas Brown made Oath that he saw Thomas Lankford sign the Mortgage and that Malcom McCallum were subscribing witnesses.
