DESCENDANTS OF JOHN BRENNAN; MILLTOWN, DUBLIN, IRE
John BRENNAN was a farmer living in the early-1800's in Classon's Bridge, Milltown in Dublin, Ireland. I believe that he passed away by 1876, and the farm was left in the name of his widow.
John had at least one daughter, Anne BRENNAN, although family lore is that Anne also had two sisters, one called Elizabeth.
Anne BRENNAN (c.1845-1935) was born in Classon's Bridge. She married Michael BYRNE (c.1835-1913) in Rathfarnham Church in Dublin in 1865. Anne moved to Waterloo Lane in the south city of Dublin after the death of her husband. She died in 1935 in Baggot Street Hospital.
Anne and Michael had three children:
1. Maurice BYRNE (1866-1940) lived in Ranelagh, Dublin, with his wife Margaret MURRAY
2. Patrick BYRNE (1875-1973) lived in Rathmines, Dublin, with his wife Elizabeth FITZGERALD.
3. Catherine Elizabeth BYRNE (b. 1968) immigrated to the US as a young girl. She lived in Chicago and/or New York, working as a shopkeeper. She married into the DONEGAN or SHAUGHNESSY families.
