These are my husband's maternal ancestors. Wilhelm Buergel was born somewhere in Prussia about 1810. It is unknown if he married in Prussia to a woman named Julianna or if he married after he emigrated. He lived for a while in Wisconsin, then Pennsylvania, then finally, Scott County, Iowa.
