I Solomon Coon of Henry County and State of Indiana being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. My will is First, that my body be intered [sic] in a manner suited to my Estate. Second; That my funeral Charges and just debts shall be paid by my Executor herein after named- Third; I leave for the use of the family so long as they remain together the following property (vz) One mare known as the old mare One Red Cow five Sheep four choice of the Hogs together with the household furniture the annual products of the farm to be divided with the Children as my Executor think best the remainder of my property (Viz:) One mare One Colt with all the Cattle on the farm not disposed of by this testament with Sheep and Hogs in like manner together with farming tools and wagon shall come into the hands of my Executor together with such other articles as is not named in this will One Riffle Gunn [sic] to be sold at public sale on time as the Executor may think proper; Here I will say to my Executor that should my personal property and annual Rents fail to pay the demands he shall use of the North End of the North forty of the land owned by me Now I will say to my Executor that on final settlement and distribution all of my Children be equal in Share deducting from the share of Lydia Children fifteen Dollars from the Share of Mariah Tolberts fifteen Dollars from Sarah Conner fifteen Dollars from Rachael Penson fifteen Dollars. And I hereby appoint my worthy friend and Brother Conrad J. Coon my Executor of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal Solomon (his X mark) Coon (seal) Signed and sealed in the presence of us on the 30th of May 1857 Attest Alcibaides Wyatt, George Judge, Madison Cook State of Indiana }ss Henry County } Personally appeared before me John C. Hudelson Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas within and for said County of Henry Alcibaides Wyatt George Judge and Madison Cook the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will of Solomon Coon deceased who being duly sworn upon their oaths say that they saw the said Solomon Coon sign and heard him Publish and declare the foregoing to be his last will and testament that they these affiants subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of each other and in the presence of the said Testator and at his request that at the time of Executing said will said testator was of full age to devise his property To wit of the age of about 60 years and not under coercion or Restraint Sworn and subscribed to before me this 27th day of June 1857 John G.
