| DESCRIPTION: | Rng 8E, Twp 17N, Sct 9, Qtr NW: Divisions of the S 1/2 The court case was Lewis Stickler, Matilda Coon, Jonathan Coon, & Martha Shelton VS. Cornelius Mauzy, Saluda Sparks, & John W. Sparks. The specifics of the case are not described in the deed, only the resulting partition of land is given. The land was partitioned as follows: Coon, Matilda: "the North Division of the above described land commencing at the N. W. corner of the above described (80) acres run South 11 poles 9 links then east 162 poles. P. then North 11 P 9 links, then west 162 P to the place of beginning it contain 11 acres 86 poles." Shelton, Martha: "the second North division commencing at the South west corner of the North division run South 11 poles 24/2 link then east 162 P then North 11 poles 24 1/2 links then west 162 P to the place of beginning it contain 12 acres." Stickler, Lewis: "the three Southern Division and the middle Division beginning at the South west corner of the above described 80 acres run North 45 poles 5 links East 162 P South 45 poles 5 links then west 162 P to the place of beginning it contain 45 acres." |
