Obviously, the photograph is impossible to read. However, I was able to read the stone when I transcribed it. R. Thomas Mayhill, in his book Early Cemetery Records of Wayne Township, Henry County, Indiana - Including the towns of Knightstown, the Villages of Raysville, Grant City, and Maple Valley, and the Former Villages of Elizabeth City and West Liberty, (1968; reprint Knightstown, Indiana: The Bookmark, 1994), gives the age at death as 12 y 7 m 22d. |
