Machgan and Mrs. Fay A. (Machgan), on 12 Mar 1954 in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington.19 He and Sharon Sue Machgan were divorced on 3 Jul 1959 in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington. He married Helga Gisela Gollnow, daughter of Ernst Erich Gollnow and Helene Marguerite Freidank, on 28 Dec 1963 in Reno, NV. He and Helga Gisela Gollnow were divorced circa 1970 in Berlin, Germany. He died on 15 Jan 1992 in Es Castelle, Menorca, Spain, at age 62. He was buried in Es Castelle, Menorca, Spain; If you head out of town, and head east in the direction of the old army fort, you'll find the Es Castell Cemetery. Father is buried in one of the middle areas there. His headplate is of black marble. His girlfriend, Gaby, keeps flowers there. A cards tournament, 9 Card Brag, is held annually in the village in his honor.

Stewart was congratulated by Major General Robert Glass after being awarded the Bronze Star medal for meritorious service in combat operations in Vietnam. Major Stewart is now Chief of Staff, Contact Section, in Frankfurt, Germany. " - Stars and Stripes Newspaper. He ended military service on 30 Jun 1973 in McGraw Kaserne, Munich, Bavaria, Germany.20
