Lida Burton's paternal grandparents, John Mack "Duff" Burton and Mariah Frances "Fannie" King. Their son Joseph Zelodious Burton married Emma Turpin, the daughter of Hardin Turpin and Sarah Hankins. Joseph Burton and Emma Turpin are the parents of Lida Burton Jones.
