William Jenkins, born abt 1775 Bertie Co., NC and died 1881 Webster Co., KY, was the son of Nathan Jenkins and Elizabeth Early.
William Jenkins married Emelia Harper 22 Apr 1800 in NC and they were the grandparents of Willis "Bud" Jenkins. See their 1800 NC marriage bond.
William Jenkins is mentioned in "Some Webster County Families" by Minerva Bone Bassett
as likely one of the first in the area with a military land warrant.
