Wiley Cemetery

Two views of Wiley Cemetery

Janet Hineman's 3-great-grandparents, Wilkerson Wiley and his wife Hannah Elizabeth Trusty, are buried in this small family cemetery, which is on a private farm in Webster County. At one time, this was the farm of Wilkerson Wiley. The people who own the property keep this cemetery cleared and Janet thanks them for honoring the memory of the dead.

Chester D. Wiley, son of W. P. and E. E. Wiley Born 1-14-1891 Died 4-1-1891	Sidney E. Wiley, daughter of W. and E. Wiley Born 5-8-1871 Died 10-6-1891

There is also a very old stone that is broken and no longer legible. Janet says her heart tells her this is probably the stone of Catherine Branson-Wiley, the mother of Wilkerson Wiley.

Wilkerson and Elizabeth Wiley were the parents of David Wilson Wiley who was a member of the Kentucky Legislature from Webster County and the husband of Queen Webster Chandler. His obituary is online.

Wilkerson and Elizabeth Wiley are also the parents of Edwin A. Wiley whose wife was Virginia Arabell Jones, the youngest daughter of Wiley and Dorcas Liles-Jones.
