Jeremiah Myer Ashley was born 25 Oct 1823 in N.C. Joann believes that Jeremiah was the son of John Ashley and Catherine King. Lucretia Caroline Teague was born 16 Mar 1843 in Hopkins Co. Ky., the daughter of John P. Teague and Lucretia Dunkerson.

Jeremiah and Lucretia married Jun 23 1861 in Hopkins Co. Ky. They had at least 10 children and maybe more. The known children are Mack, Jerry G., Sarah Elizabeth, Mary Frances, Louise Hester, James Monroe, Lucretia Elaine, Mariah Anne, Ruth Alice and John Lemuel Ashley.

Jeremiah died 25 May 1908; Lucretia died 29 June 1917; both died in Webster Co. Ky. They are both buried in Ashley Cemetery.
