Joshua Harper Cranor was born 02 Jan 1837 in Guilford Co. NC, the son of Joshua Cranor and Mary Sullivan. Joshua married Nancy Collins 17 Jan 1858 in Christian Co. KY. She was born 28 Nov 1833 in Christian Co., the daughter of Joseph Collins and Elizabeth Lantrip.

Joshua Cranor farmed in both Hopkins and Webster Co, having moved to Webster Co. between 1860 & 1870. They had 8 children. Nancy died aft 1910.

Mary Elizabeth Cranor Norvell was the daughter of Joshua Harper Cranor and Nancy Collins. John Barclay has more information on their other children. This photo was taken about 1865-1870.
