Sisters Julia Ann and Ethel Bridwell This photo had been damaged; it was repaired and sent to us by Melony Gentry Lewis, the granddaughter of Julia Ann. Julia Ann, left, and Ethel, right, were the daughters of Edwin F. Bridwell and Luvena Ann Jewell, who were married in Webster County 28 September 1890. Edwin F. Bridwell was the son of James Bridwell and Liza Thornberry; Luvena Ann Jewell was the daughter of Presley Jewell and Julia Ann Woodward. Julia Ann Bridwell married B. Cundiff Gentry and they became the parents of six children: Omer Bryant; Norman Edward, Naomi Sue, Samuel Ray, Wayne Donald and John Gentry. Julia Ann died in 1953 and she is buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Poole.

Ethel Bridwell married Edmond Allen. They were the parents of three children: Oleta, Olan and Evelyn Allen. A sister of Ethel and Julia, Erma Bridwell, who lived in Poole, never married. She died March 1, 1998, at age 88. Her obituary can be read online by clicking here.
