   Francis Triplett Pate Family

Francis Triplett Pate and Rose Annie Reynolds are in the front with son Byron Pate (1896-1965) on his father's knee. Behind them are their children Elra Pate (1888-1945); Charley Pate (1892-1932); and Vassie Pate (1885-1960) who married John E. Wood at Dixon, January 4, 1905.
Francis Triplett Pate (1854-1931), a tobacconist, was one of six children of William Clark Pate (abt. 1822-abt. 1892) and Elizabeth Monroe (abt. 1823-abt.1872) who lived at Clay, KY.
Rose Annie Reynolds (1863-1900) was a daughter of blacksmith Thomas Reynolds (1818-1874), believed to be the son of Benjamin Reynolds and Ann Crews, and Nancy Adaline Melton (1834-1887, daughter of Spencer Melton and Rosannah Whiteside).

Thomas and Nancy Reynolds are buried at Shady Grove Cemetery, Poole. Frank Pate and Annie Reynolds were married September 17, 1878 in Webster County, and lived at Poole. They are also buried at Shady Grove.
