Rhythm Roundup Band
The Rhythm Roundup Band

The Rhythm Roundup Band played on an afternoon show on the Madisonville radio station circa 1946-1947.

Back row: Jimmy Jennings from Providence - violin; "Curly" Myers from Providence, leader of band/vocalist/guitar; lead vocals - unknown; bass guitar player - unknown

Front Row: Warren "Josh" Marks from Providence - lead guitar and Doug Oldham from Madisonville - steel guitar.

Others who played with the group over time were Lee Roy Blanchard, Jim Gaskin from Hopkinsville, who was a comedian with the band. Jim is now at Renfro Valley and has been for years. Curly Myers' brother, Eugene (Blondie) Myers replaced the bass guitar player.
