He married Lucy McClarney (abt 1883-1928) 13 May 1900 Webster Co KY.
Their children were: Dorothy Burton (marr Otto Gilkison); Artie Mae Burton (marr James Burnam Grayson); Leamon Burton (marr Paulina ?); Earl Burton; William Henry Burton and Margie Sue Burton.
