Aunt Lizzie Crowley
We think this photo, which was only labeled "Aunt Lizzie Crowley", is of Elizabeth, the widow of George W. Crowley; they were married about 1855 but we have not found the marriage record. According to the family's 1860 Webster County census listing, Lizzie was born in IL about 1835; she died sometime after 1920.
George W. Crowley, born 1824 Hopkins Co KY, was the son of Prior Crowley and Susan Landsford. He died before 1900. Carole Palmer has more information on this Crowley family.

| Tom Watson has discovered Elizabeth's maiden name was Bland. It is listed on the 1935 death certificate of her son Robert Zeke Crowley, b 1870. R.Z. Crowley's wife Thula was the informant for his death record information. We have found the following listing in 1850 Wayne Co IL but cannot vouch that it is the family of Elizabeth: 1850 Wayne Co IL census, District 11, Household #652: J. Bland, 55, male, farmer, KY; M. Bland, 50, female, VA; E. Bland, 18, female, IL; W. Bland, 16, male, farmer, IL. |
