Burtons

In the center is J. Z. Burton, the father of Bill and Wallace Burton. J. Z. Burton was the oldest son of John McDuff Burton and Mariah Frances King. His 1942 obituary can be read online.

J. Z. Burton married Emma J. Turpin, daughter of Hardin Nolan Turpin and Sarah E. Hankins, 28 Sep 1898, Webster Co KY; they became the parents of eleven children, including Bill and Wallace pictured above.

J. Z. Burton and Emma Turpin Burton are both buried at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
