The couple in this photo is unknown to us.

It is a tintype that was found in the photos of Sallie Burton Hobgood. Rita Burton got the picture several years ago from a member of Sallie's family and last summer they gave Rita permission to publish it on the web.

Sallie Burton, 1891-1960, was the daughter of John McDuff "Jim" Burton, 1846-1911, and Mariah Frances "Fannie" King, 1853-1918. See photo.
