On 21 October 1860, in one of the first marriages performed in the new county of Webster, Sarah married William H. H. Bridwell, the son of Fielding Bridwell and Martha "Patsy" Briscoe.
Sarah and William were married for almost 58 years, living in Webster County their entire lives. They were the parents of eleven children, ten of whom lived to adulthood and married into other county families such as Oglesby, Poole, Jones, McClarney, Crowley, Myers, Langston, Hunter and Rakestraw.
Sarah died 4 July 1924; she is buried at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.
