We can't pinpoint the year this photo was taken. According to Louise Fleming's book "Sebree...Then and Now", the first Sebree High School was built in 1902; this photo appears to have been taken shortly after that time.Photo contributed by Betty Sellers, compliments of Ruth Heffington.
For several years now we have known nothing about the photo. In August 2003, James "Butch" Phillips contacted us with the information that the the man standing at the right end appears to be his grandmother's brother, Rev. James Coleman Craig, who was born 18 Feb 1861 in Webster County and died 23 Nov 1947. Rev. Craig is buried in McLean County.
If you have ancestors who would have been at Sebree High School during this time period, please take a look at this photo and see if you can help us with identifications.
