Sarah Katherine Imboden had a hard life with Gooch Withers, who was evidently a difficult man, but despite that, she worked very hard to raise her children well. She died at age 52 of what was called "creeping paralysis". She left a wonderful legacy, in that she was a very bright woman and inspirational mother to her children, and gave them values which were passed on to future generations.
