John Jacobs married Henrietta Tapp, 1853-1924. Henrietta was the daughter of
Samuel P. Tapp and Elizabeth McClendon, the granddaughter of Vincent Tapp and Rosanna Hopson, and the great-granddaughter of William Tapp.

John and Henrietta Jacobs became the parents of five children: Jessie, Robert, Betty, Madge and Emmer (Emma). Emmer married Louis David Donahoo.Place and date of photo unknown, estimate photo around 1900.
