1900 Webster census, Maud Marks, b Feb 1877, age 23, single.

Her obit dated 23 Jun 1955; she is listed as Maude Rivers Christlieb, age 79. Says she is the daughter of the late William and Martha Marks and is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Mooney and Mrs. Mable Winstead of Dixon and two brothers, Lee and Chris Marks, Dixon.

An Arthur A. Christlieb 1882-1922, is buried at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Webster County.

Mrs. Jerry Christliev of Auborn, Ind., is named as a surviving sister in the Oct 1937 obituary of Mamie Marks Towe.

Individual note:   Almeda S. Overfield was appointed administrator of Sarah Whitledge's estate. Thomas W. Dixon executed surety. March Court, Henderson Co, Book F. A will is mentioned but I haven't seen it.

Western Kentucky Journal Vol II, No 4, p 12: Last will and testament of Sarah Whitlege proved in open court by oaths of Charles Crook and James Hassett (Henderson Co Order Book F, p 257, 26 Mar 1855).

Almeda S.Overfield appointed administrator with will annexed of Sarah Whitlege and with Thomas W. Dixon, surety, executed a covenant with the Commonwealth (Order Book F, p 259, 26 Mar 1855).

(Sarah Almeda Overfield, born 1820, marr John Overfield, is the dau of Mary and Martin Overfield and Sarah Marks' granddaughter).

Individual note:   1870 Webster census, p 99. Frances Tolbert, age 10, is listed with her parentsG.J. Tolbert, age 30 and Mary A., age 28. Other children are John, 12; Alice,5; and John, 12.

There is a Sam Marks buried Little Zion Cemetery ( 20 May 1857-20 Mar 1933).Webster Cemeteries, vol 4, p 104. With him is Fannie Marks 25 Nov 1867-22 Jan1931. That is the Sam Marks who married Fanny Tolbert, Webster Co, 24 Nov 1883(and this is the Samuel Marks in Jay Norwalk's book). Norwalk's book gives heryear of birth as 1861; her stone says 1867.

1900 Webster census, she is 38 years old, marr 17 years, has borne 7 children with 7 living. There is a widow, Mary Tolbert, age 61, living next to them in1900. Maybe Fannie's mother? p 28, #65

1910 Webster census, Sam Marks, age 52, KY; wife Fannie, 48, KY; son Eme, 20, KY; son Clyde, 16, kY; son Landy, 14, KY; dau Emma, 11, KY; dau Ruby, 09, KY; dau Pet, 09, KY

Buried next to Fannie and Sam Marks at Little Zion Cemetery are Mary A. Tolbert8 Dec 1839-30 Jun 1909 and George W. Tolbert, s/o G.J. & M.A. 26 Feb 1869-27Aug 1895.
