James S. Marks was the son of Jesse Marks and Lucinda Woods

James Marks married Mandy H. Melton, the daughter of Joseph Melton and Celia Grayson, 20 Jan 1876 Webster County. He died two years later.

This stone was on the ground and damaged when Marian and Amy Dunn surveyed and photographed the cemetery in 2002. The photos below show the headstone that was reset by the Job Corps students in October 2005.
