Emma Marks
Herman V. Marks was the son of Isaiah Washington Marks and Nancy Stephens. Emma Whitledge was the daughter of Marion W. Whitledge, 1851 - 1937, and Cora Ellen Gentry, 1862 - 1942, who are both buried at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

Herman and Emma Whitledge Marks became the parents of six children, two of whom are buried in this cemetery: Marion Lois Marks and Warren G. Marks. Emma's sister, Virgie Whitledge Burton, is also buried here.
