Stephen Decatur Oglesby was the son of Constant Jacob Oglesby, 1788 SC-1838 Christian Co KY and Nancy Knight, 1792-1846 Christian Co KY.
This stone was on the ground, but during the October 2005 cemetery cleanup, it was cleaned and reset. See photos
S. D. Oglesby married Louise Betty Knight 11 Mar 1851 Christian Co KY. They were living in Webster Co in 1860 when the census was taken.

S. D. and Louise Oglesby were the parents of eight children. Many of their children and grandchildren are buried in this cemetery, including: Franklin Pierce Oglesby, Thomas Oglesby; Nancy Oglesby and her husband D.L. Fraser; Sarah E.
