Rebecca A. Townsend was the second wife of George Washington Poole (1818-1898); they married 30 Sep 1861 Webster Co KY and became the parents of eight children.

Two of them, Verona Poole Cary and Dolley Poole Brackett, are also buried in this cemetery.
