Lucinda Newton was born 1822 in Chariton, later Linn County, Missouri. There were many Newtons in Webster County and we are unsure who were the parents of Lucinda. She married Noah Sparks 13 Jun 1842 Hopkins County and they became the parents of six children, most of them buried in this cemetery: Pleasant Sparks and his wife Arramintha Grayson Sparks; Samuel P. Sparks; Martha J. Sparks Head; Joel Sparks and his wife Uriah Grayson Sparks, and Jasper Newton Sparks.
