Andrew J. Woods was the son of James Woods, who brought his large family to Hopkins County KY from Tennessee before 1840. We do not know the name of James Woods' wife.
Andrew Woods married Polly Ann Sparks 30 May 1853 Henderson Co KY and they became the parents of eight children, many of whom are buried in this cemetery:

The land for Mt. Lebanon Cemetery was deeded to the church by members of the Woods family but it appears to have been a burial ground before that time, as there are many pre-1889 burials. A.J. Woods has a second stone at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

When Job Corps students worked at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in October 2005, they cleaned this stone and brought it into an upright position. |
