Mertice Ethelene Cranford

4/27/1926 - 11/22/2004

Mertice Ethelene Cranford passed away Nov. 22, 2004 at home in Auburn, CA at the age of 78. She was born in Yakima, Washington, April 27, 1926. She was the daughter of Zola and Zella Lester. Mertice spent the first 20 years of her life in Yakima where she married Lovice Cranford. They moved to California and spent the remainder of their lives in the Auburn area with the exception of two years in Lund, Nevada.

Mertice's great love was her family, and she will be sorely missed by them all. She enjoyed her association with her quilting club.

At last, she is reunited with her Lovice, who preceded her in death. Mertice is survived by a daughter, Kathy Graham; a son, Gerald Cranford; six grandchildren and seven wonderful great-grandchildren.

The family invites you to a memorial service Friday, November 26, 2004, at 11 AM at the LDS Chapel at 1255 Bell Road, Auburn, California. Remembrances can be made in Mertice's name to VITAS at 3841 N Freeway Blvd, Ste 210, Sacramento, CA 95834. Arrangements are under the care of Lassila Funeral Chapel.
