THIS DEED, Made this 10th day of May, A.D. 1911, by John M. CRANFORD and wife Julia Ann CRANFORD of Montgomery County and State of North Carolina, of the first part, and M.C. CRANFORD of Montgomery County and State of North Carolina, of the first part.

WITNESSETH:  That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of Five Hundred Dollars to them be paid by said party of the second part, the receipt of which if hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said M.C. CRANFORD a certain tract or parcel of land in Troy & Ophir Township, Montgomery County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of (Troy) J.A. THOMPSON WATKINS and others, bounded as follows, viz: Lots #9, 11, 12 and 13 of Sec. C of the Jerry RUSSELL tract including buildings plot of which is recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds in Montgomery County in Book 51 page 166 to which reference is hereby made.-  These lots were deeded to J.M. CRANFORD by J.F. CAMERON and wife and C.C. SHAW and wife by John M. HA?????, Attorney in fact on 24th day of August 1909 and duly recorded in office of Register of Deeds Montgomery County in Book 51 page 192.  Also all the right, title and interest of John M. CRANFORD in and to the Jerry CRANFORD lands in Ophir township which includes a one-third undivided interest in the IVEY CRANFORD home place and also a one third undivided interest in several other tracts of land the said Ivey CRANFORD owned in Ophir township Montgomery County at the time of his death.  These said interests in Ophir township the said John M. CRANFORD inherited from his father Ivey CRANFORD and hereby conveys and transfers all of his said interests in said lands to M.C. CRANFORD as fully and completely as if boundaries fully set out herein.
