Elias HURLEY & Wife To Adaline CRANFORD Deed 1873

This Indenture made and entered into this the 24th day of November in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and seventy three between Elias HURLEY and wife Mary Ann of the County of Montgomery and State of North Carolina of the first part and Adaline CRANFORD of the County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of six dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. The parties of the first part bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and convey unto the party of the second past in certain plat or parcel of land laying in the County aforesaid in the vicinity of Zoar Church and between the lands of the two parties and bounded as follows. Beginning at a stake Adaline CRANFORDs Northwest corner and runs North to the road leading from Zoar Church to Mrs. Mary CRANFORDs and runs with said to the Eastern premises of Elias HURLEYs hundred acre tract then to Adaline Cranfords Northeastern corner then west with her line to the beginning containing five acres more or less and the parties of the first part doth hereby covenant and agree to warrent and forever defend the title to the same in the party of the second part her heirs and assigns in fee simple forever- In testimony whereof we hereunto set our hands and affix our seals the day and date above written.

Then the foregoing deed was duly acknowledged by the grantor Elias HURLEY therefore let the same be registered with this certificate.
