This Indenture made and entered into this 3rd day of January in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Between John AILSTOCK of the County of Lousia of the first part and Nelson S. HINES of the second part and Edmund PENDLETON of the third part whereas the said John AILSTOCK is indebted to the said Edmund PENDLETON the sum of Eighty five Dollars and Seventy five Cents by Bond bearing date the 1st day of January 1827 which debt with the interest thereon according to said Bond he is willing and desirous to secure payment of.  now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said John AILSTOCK is Consequence of the premises and for the further Consideration of One Dollar to him in hand paid by the said Nelson S. HINES before the sealing and delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and deliver unto the said Nelson S. HINES and to his survivor and to the Executor administation of his survivor in case of his death the following property to wit: his crop of Tobacco now on hand supposed to be two thousand pounds together with One Bay mare with a Blaze face also the stock of hogs house hold furniture and all of his tools of every kind which he warrants free from the Claim of all persons whatsoever Upon Trust Nevertheless that the said AILSTOCK be permitted to have untill the first day of June next to pay off the above mentioned bond with Cost and Interest at which time if the whole or any part of the within mentioned Bond should be due then and in that case it shall be the duty of the said Nelson S. HINES or his legal representatives at any time thereafter when requested by Edmund PENDLETON or his legal representatives to take possession of the said property and advertise the same at the most Public places giving ten days notice  proceed to sell at Cuckooville so much of the within mentioned property as will pay the amount of the within Bond and Interest and all of the Cost that may accure in carrying this Deed into effect and if any balance should be left the said HINES will pay it to the said AILSTOCK or his legal respresentatives In Testimony whereof the partys have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

In Lousia County Court Clerks Office Jany 3rd 1827

This Deed of Trust was this day presented in the said office and acknowledged by John AILSTOCK the subscribing party thereto to be his act and Deed and thereupon admitted to Record as to him.                                Teste
