He was born in Litchfield, NY, a son of the late George and Florence Jury. He received his education in the Norwich Corners School and in 1970 was married to Grace Brown. William was employed for many years for Oneida County, retiring in 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; four stepsons, Roy Sweet and his wife, Betty, and Ray Sweet, all of Cassville, Glenn Sweet and his wife, Sandy, of Sauquoit, and John Quick and his wife, Betty, of FL; two step daughters, Hazel Brinkerhoff and Esther Jury and her husband Richard Jury, all of Cassville; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Art and Kitty Gilloran and Bud and Betty Wenz.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 at the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St.

Sauquoit. Interment will be in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 2-4 and 7-9.
