| This Indenture made this thirteenth Day of January in the year of
our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Seventy Seven Between Michael AILSTOCK
of the County of Louisa and Rebecca his wife of the one part and Mosess GOING
of the County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Michael
AILSTOCK and Rebecca his wife, for and in consideration of the or either
of them in Hand will and truly paid, by the said GOING also before the Ensealing
and Delivery of these presents the Receipt wherof they do hereby acknowledge
and Confess, and thereof and of Every part and parcell thereof, they do acquit
& discharge him the said Michael AILSTOCK his heirs Executors and
administrators forever, by these presents, they have granted Bargained and
Sold, Aliened and Confirmed, and by these presents do grant Bargin, Sell,
Alien Release and confirm unto him the said Mosess GOING his heirs and assigns,
one Certain Tract or parcell of Land, Situate lying & being in the
County of Louisa, Containing Three Hundred & Fifty Three Acres. be
the same more or less and is Bounded as Followeth Viz~ Beginning at
Wm. HENDRICKS Corner Hickory Saplin and Bounded by the Lines of the said
HENDRICK & Charles SMITH and also all wooden trees underwoods titlees
Pastures Profits Commodities, Advantages Hereditiments, Ways Waters,
Watercourses. Houses Buildings Fences Orchards and all the appurtenances
whatsoever to the said Tract of Land belonging or in any wiase
appurtaining and also all the Reversion and Reversions Remainder &
Remainders, Rents and Services of the siad Premises and Every part &
parcell thereof, and all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim & Demand
Whatsoever of the said Michael AILSTOCK, and Rebecca his said Wife of
and in, and to the said Tract or parcell of Land, above mentioned &
premises and Every part thereof To Have & To Hold, the said Tract or
parcell of Land and all and Singular the Premises above mentioned &
every part & parcell thereof, with their & Every of their appurtances
unto the said Mosess GOING his Heirs and assigns to the only proper
use and behoof of him the siad Mosess GOING his Heirs and assigns forever
and the said Michael AILSTOCK and Rebecca his said Wife for them
and their Heirs and the Heirs of either of them the said Tract
of Land and Premises & Every part thereof against them the said
Michael AILSTOCK and Rebecca his said wife and their heirs and against all
and every other person and Persons, whatsoever to him the said Mosess GOING,
his heirs and assigns shall and will forever Warrent and Defend by
their Hands & Seals interchangeably have set the day & year
first above written-
Signed & Delivered In the Presence of us} Michael AILSTOCK {Seal} Geo HOLLAND, Joseph STREETS} Rebecca (her mark) AILSTOCK {Seal} Memorandum that on the Day & year first within written, full & peaceable & Confession & seison, of the Lands & premises within granted ws had and taken by the within named Michael AILSTOCK and Rebecca his wife and by them Delivered over to the within Moses GOING to Hold to him his Heirs & assignes forever according to the purposes of the within Indenture. Received this Thirteenth Day of January of the within Mosess GOING the Sum of Fifty Pounds, Current Money of Virginia it being full for Lands & Premises within granted & sold. I say Received by me~ Michl AILSTOCK At a Court held for Louisa County on Monday the 13th Day of January 1777 This Indenture was this Day in open court acknowledged by Michael AILSTOCK and Rebecca his wife to be their act & Deed, the said Rebecca being first privily examined and ordered to be Recorded.
