This Indenture made the 12th day of April in the year of Christ 1847 Between Polly AILSTOCK of the County of Louisa of the one part and Joseph SIMS of the same Court of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Polly AILSTOCK for and in Consideration of the sum of Forty nine dollars fifty eight cents current money of Va to her by the said Joseph SIMS in hand paid, the receipt whereof the said Polly AILSTOCK do the hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Joseph SIMS his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land Containing 14 1/6 acres be the same more or less laying and being in the County of Louisa and bounded as follows Beginning at a corner maple with the said Joseph SIMS and running south 19 degrees West 68 1/3 poles to a corner stake with J.W. WADDY, thence south 73 3/4 degrees East 25 poles to a Spanish oak with John THACKERs thence North 45 3/4degrees East 55 1/3 poles to a hickory with the said Polly AILSTOCK thence North 51 1/2 degrees West 52 3/4 poles to the beginnning To Have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with the appurtenuances there to belonging to him the said Joseph SIMS his heirs and assigns to the only proper  an and behoof of the said Joseph SIMS his heirs  and assigns forever.  And the said Polly AILSTOCK for herself her heirs executors and administrators doth hereby convenant and agree to and with the said Joseph SIMS his heirs and assigns that she the said Polly AILSTOCK and her heirs, the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto him the said Joseph SIMS his heirs and assigns against her the said Polly AILSTOCK and her heirs and against all persons whomsoever, shall and will by these presents forever warrant and defend.  In Witness whereof the said Polly AILSTOCK hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal the day and year above written.

This deed from Polly AILSTOCK to Joseph SIMS was this day proved in the said Office by the oath of the three subscribing witnesses thereto and in thereupon admitted to record.
