This deed made and entered into
this thirteenth day of January Eighteen Hundred and Seventy by
and between Wm. CHANDLER and Celina CHANDLER his wife of Cass
County, Mo, parties of the first part, and Joshua BARTLETT
of Jonesville, Cass County, Mo, of the second part--
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Seventy dollars to them paid by the party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged to by these presents GRANT, BARGAIN AND SELL, CONVEY and confirm unto the said party of the second part the following described Real Estate situate in the County of Cass and State of Missouri to wit: Beginning at a point nine (9) __?__ and Sixty-seven (67) links West of the North East corner of the West half of the West-half of Lot No. Two (2) in the North West corner of Section Two (2) Township Forty Three (43) Range Thirty Three (33) thence South with the line Twelve (12) __?___ and Eighty Two (82) links thence West Ten (10) chains and thirty three (33) links to the West line of the said Section Two (2) thence East along the North line pf the said Section Two (2) to the place of beginning continuing Thirteen and one half (13 1/2) acres. To have and to hold the same together with all the rights, immunities, privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, the said Wm. CHANDLER and Celina CHANDLER hereby covenanting their heirs, executors and administrators shall and wil Warrant and defend the title to the premises to the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.
In witness whereof the said parties
of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the
day and year first above written.

Be it remembered that on this
thirteenth day of January Eighteen hundred and Seventy before
me the undersigned a justice of the peace in and for the County
aforesaid came William CHANDLER and Celina CHANDLER who are personally
known to me to be the same persons whose names are subscribed
to the foregoing instrument of writing as parties thereto and
acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the
uses and purposes therein mentioned
and she the said Celina CHANDLER having been first made acquainted
with the contents of the foregoing conveyance acknowledged on
an examination separate and apart from her husband that she executed
the same and relinquished all her interest whether of dower or
otherwise in the Real Estate therein mentioned freely and without
compulsion or undue influence of her said husband whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and offical signature the day and year last
above written.
The foregoing deed was filed for
Record November 28th 1870 and recorded on the 6th day of December
1870.

This Indenture made on the 16th
day of July AD one thousand eight hundred and Seventy Eight, by
and between Joshua BARTLETT and Mary BARTLETT his
wife of the County of Cass and State of Missouri parties of the
first part, and Ezra T. BARTLETT of the County of Cass
in the State of Missouri, party of the second part. Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of one dollar and the further consideration of natural love and affection, to these paid by said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents, GRANT, BARGAIN AND SELL, CONVEY AND CONFIRM, unto the said party of the second part, during his lifetime his heirs and assigns, the following described lots, tracts, or parcels of land lying, being and situate in the County of Cass and State of Missouri, to wit: All of the west half (1/2) of the south half (1/2) of the North East quarter of Section Twenty (20) in Township Fourty Four (44) of Range Thirty Three (33). It is expressly understood that the said Ezra T. BARTLETT, His heirs and assigns shall pay, set over and deliver yearly to the said Joshua BARTLETT and Mary BARTLETT, for their rise and benefit as long as they or either of them shall live, the annual rental of the above described lands, and this agreement is a part of the consideration of this deed. The intention of this deed is to give said Ezra T. BARTLETT only a life interest in and to the land herein described,--after his death it is to fall in fee simple to his heirs.
